Recently, two innovative cases from Shaanxi Automobile Group’s subsidiaries, Dechuang Future Proton Automotive (“Next-Generation New Energy Intelligent Heavy-Duty Truck Technology Platform and Its Industrialization”) and Hande Axle (“Research on Key Technologies, Series Product Development and Industrialization of Electric Drive Axles for Commercial Vehicles”), were successfully awarded the 2026 Outstanding Innovative Technology Achievements in China’s Commercial Vehicle Industry, demonstrating Shaanxi Automobile Group’s technological leadership in the field of new energy commercial vehicles.

Proton Automotive focuses on the electrification, intelligentization, connectivity, and lightweighting of new energy heavy-duty trucks. It has systematically overcome core technologies such as solid-state chassis for high-end intelligent driving, comprehensive thermal management under all operating conditions, highly integrated engine compartment modules, multi-in-one controller matching, and all-electric chassis collaborative control. This has enabled “oil-free” and “air-free” steer-by-wire and braking, reducing vehicle energy consumption by approximately 2% and cost by over 1600 yuan; it has also solved the heat dissipation problem of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, reducing costs by 3000-10000 yuan per vehicle. The company has cumulatively applied for over 300 independent intellectual property rights and launched over 200 new energy products, basically achieving full coverage of mainstream scenarios. Hande Axle, focusing on its “dual-carbon” goals, has achieved complete replacement of imported high-end electric drive axles. The project overcame industry challenges such as the precise design of electric drive axles, establishing a complete closed loop from technology research and development to industrialization. Its series of electric drive axles boasts advantages such as lower energy consumption, stronger power, and higher reliability, and are widely used in all vehicle types and scenarios, including microvans, light trucks, medium and heavy trucks, and buses.

Looking towards the “15th Five-Year Plan,” Shaanxi Automobile will continue to deepen collaborative innovation across the industrial chain, accelerating its progress towards systematization, lightweighting, and intelligence, providing users with more efficient and reliable green and intelligent travel solutions, and contributing to the high-quality development of the commercial vehicle industry.
